Okay, so the past week was absolutely amazing. I was in California visiting Matt and that was probably my favorite vacation ever. When I am with him it is absolutely amazing and I love him more than bread and butter :). He constantly makes me happy and makes me feel loved and appreciated. This is what the visit looked like:
WEDNESDAY:
I arrived in Burbank at 12:30ish where Matt met me at the airport looking very stunning in his black Dickies shirt.... mmmmmm I liiiike that shirt ;). We went back to his house and just relaxed and talked until his mom came home and then she took us out to dinner at Matt's favorite restaurant, Rocky Cola. It's a 50s style diner, twas mucho fun :). We went back to the house and got ready for Wet and Wild, their church's Wednesday night youth group. It's at someone with a pool's house and they swim, play games, sing praise songs (led by Matt), and then listen to a message from one of the interns. Really awesome and I can understand why there are over 75 jr highers alone that attend IN THE SUMMER!! :)
THURSDAY:
Woke up around 7:30ish so we could be at the church at 8:15 and be ready to leave with the jr highers (he's an intern at his church- La Canada Presbyterian) to go to Disneyland at 9. That was sooooooooo much fun, even though we only had like 6 hours once we got there to hang out. Probably one of my favorite times (I've been there now 10 times) I've been there. Then we got to his house and watched tv and tried to relax. His mom got on his case about us lying in the hide-a-bed cuddling while she was asleep. She had been treating him like he was 12 pretty much since the moment I arrived. From what he's said, that's how she is. I think it's because she's not used to the man he is now and is used to the guy he was in high school. Things have changed, and from what I've observed, she's not a big fan of change.
FRIDAY:
We really did nothing. Relaxed around the house all day, slept in, and cuddled and I took a nap since I was still tired :). Friday night he had an intern meeting so while he was at that, I went shopping with his mom to the Nordstrom half yearly sale. It was fun, an opportunity for us to get to know eachother better. When we got back to the house and he came back, we headed to the original Bob's Big Boy restaurant in Tuluca Lake (Burbank area) and showed off his car (he has a 65 T-Bird) and looked at the other old cars that were there. It was so much fun! I hadn't really heard why he likes old cars and the 60s and 70s so much until then, so it was really nice just to hear hiim talk about things he feels so passionately about. We ate at Bob's and then went back to the house and watched a movie on tv with his mom. She's one of those people you HATE to see movies with. She's always saying what's going to happen next and complaining about it and then walks out of the room because she "can't see it" and then comes back when she thinks it's over and asks what happened. Kind of funny, but gets annoying after a while.
SATURDAY:
We woke up, at breakfast and headed into Hollywood to go to Universal Studios. I had fun, but honestly I don't think that that place is worth $47 per person. By the time the day was over, I was soooo theme-parked out and so was Matt that we didn't go on Waterworld or Terminator 2. I REALLY wanted to see the ET ride, but it's closed down! :( I guess they're building "the biggest and best and most technologically advanced ride" and opening it next year or something. Oh well.... when we got home, we got dressed up and went to an Italian restaurant in downtown Montrose which was really nice and then we drove around in his car just talking and enjoying eachothers company.
SUNDAY:
We got up and went to church and then after church went to the Motrose Farmer's Market. That was fun. We also went through a pet store and a really random crafty store as well. After that we went back to the house and tried to find something to do when Matt's friend Adam called and told him that his best friend since he was 5, Nick, was in town. So we immediately got up and drove to Nick's house, and then drove to Burbank to go to Jamba Juice since I'd never been there and since that was like 10 minutes from Adam's house we went there too. It was really cool to meet friends that Matt had had since he was a little tyke. After that, we went back to Matt's and I packed and then he took me to the airport.
All in all it was an awesome trip, busier than most, but a ton of fun and one I won't forget soon. I really really do care about him and when I'm with him realize how incredibly lucky I am to have him in my life. I can honestly say that I am in love, completely and truly in love with him. So let's hope this works out! :)
