Haha! Sworn in finally this morning, I have pics, apparently I stood far away from the guy but pictures nonetheless.
Got downtown at like 9:00am....or should I say 0900? Meh. Anyways, had breakfast, waited at the recruitment center, went over a lot of things (flight leaves at 0635, sure, but I have to be up two hours beforehand?) and then the fun began.
The ceremony was short and sweet, the officer who swore us in wore a kilt, which I thought was pretty kickass. Ten of us, six did the oath, four, including me, did the solemn affirmation. After which it kicked in, that now I am Phil Hudson, OS. Fuckin A!
I got to talk with the guys during a wait period, one of them was already through boot camp, he was doing something for Army but is now doing an Ops trade in the Navy so that'll be good, we'll have someone with us with experience. Basic did sound a lil more intense than I thought, mainly people going klepto on clothing and such, but hell, all I need to do is go for that first four weeks and then with my first weekend off go to a hotel in Montreal and chill out, maybe have a drink or two but just get away from the place for a weekend. It'll recharge my batteries.
Oh yeah, and I picked this up last night: Sexy Boondocks Saints special edition. Metal cover, kick ass!
