In Which Nene Is Snarky and Ungrateful

OK, I'm a bad, bad person for deriving pleasure from putting a reader who left me a review in her(?) place. But I did. I really should have been nicer.

The review:

Story: Scarred vs Not Scarred: A Game of Shuriken Tag
Chapter: 1
Reviewer: Micayasha
Date: 2007-06-11

I really liked it - very cute. But I think you made a little error near the end: it says 'Kakashi's face brightened into a beatific grin...' But I don't recall him ever taking his mask off. Or was I not reading carefully enough...? (Also, it's spelt beautific.)

My response:

Well, you can generally tell when Kakashi has a huge grin under his mask, can you not? You can tell when someone is grinning under a surgical mask, for example, and those are less clingy than Kakashi's seems to be.

Also:

beatific |bēətifik| adjective blissfully happy : a beatific smile. • Christian Theology imparting holy bliss. DERIVATIVES beatifically |-ik(ə)lē| adverb ORIGIN mid 17th cent.: from French béatifique or Latin beatificus, from beatus ‘blessed.’

There is no such word as "beautific"
