Mom's Home!
Mom got to go home from the hospital today. She's feeling much better, especially since for the first time in several weeks she's not short of breath. She'll keep the chest tube in for as long as it's needed to keep her breathing better. The docs have all said she's doing really, really well, and that there really was no sign of new tumor growth in her pleural cavity, just the same cancer cells in the plural fluid that they'd seen before.
She'll resume her chemo schedule, and we'll keep hoping the cancer will go into remission.
I'm just about limp with relief.
Thank you again, everyone, for your prayers and support, especially from those friends who have been there themselves with loved ones and serious illness. It means the world to me, knowing I can count on you.
