Money is for trading for the shiny!
I now have an iPhone 3GS. 32 gig. Yep, I decided if I was getting one, I'd get the newest, shiniest one I could. And boy, it is shiny!
And somehow, despite the initial appearance that my SIM card had failed, when the Apple Store people loaded it onto the phone, my contacts were there! But never fear, your help sending me contact information was not wasted, for I had MANY old and out of date numbers and addresses. I've spent the evening cleaning up and organizing my address book, and now it's shiny too!
I got it a lovely orange rubberized case, and a couple of apps and games, and I'm figuring it out. Alas there is no place to hang my cell phone charms, though. Seems like some case manufacturer would solve that problem.
It has speech recognition! Not fake, make a few tags that it knows, but the real thing. It totally works, too. Any name in the address book! Well, it worked for calling my sister and mom, anyway, and I intend to make it continue to work.
Now I am on a quest of customization and app acquiring, so if you iPhone users amongst my friends have recommendations, I'm all ears.
