I voted. Did you?
I consider it a quintessential part of being an American. Sure, the world hates us a lot of the time, but voting is our RIGHT. Many people suffered so that women could vote. Many people suffered so that blacks and other minorities could vote. To squander this gift is to forget the past, and to nullify their sacrifices.
Perhaps I'm being overzealous. But this is how I feel.
Another integral part of voting is the right to a private vote. And to me, that means I don't have to tell you anything. Don't ask me for whom I voted. All I will tell you is that his last name has an "a" in it. (Granted, if you know anything about me, you'll know whom I chose.)
This is OUR country, and if you voting is your VOICE. So stand up and be counted!
