I love vacations. The Pieper family Christmas party and filterban's party were a lot of fun. I got to visit with bradyo and jevnjess(who I don't get to see too often these days). The jello shots Mike and I made for the party were damn strong, but I avoided getting too drunk. I need to start training myself before my 21st birthday though. The next day, Mike and I did a bit of shopping at the Mall of America and met filterban and silvrayn for lunch at Hooters. They should really confirm all the rumors and open one up here. It would do well with all the college students and hicks.
I took it easy on New Year's Eve, but the next day some family came up to celebrate Mike's birthday. We hung out at our apartment for quite awhile. I'm proud of how cozy and accomodating the place can be. Despite all the celebrations, I've had a couple of days to just be a lazy asshole over break. It's been nice. Tomorrow, I'm going to drive home to Andover to do free laundry then to the David's Bridal in Roseville. My cousin Stephanie wants me to try on some bridesmaid's gowns for her July wedding. I hope that all goes well!
I've got some mixed feelings about leaving for Mexico next week. It will be fun to spend some time away in the sun and hang out with my friend Ehmy, but I worry about coming back to school and work right away. I'll be missing the first days of class on account of the trip, which makes me a bit nervous. Speaking of classes, I did very well last semester! I worked really hard and exceeded my GPA goal. I hope that I can keep up the good work next semester. My GPA has become much more important to me, especially since I'll probably go on to graduate school. Anyways, it's time for another drink! :)
