Emergency!

Grif PINs into the lobby of the Clinics. He's got someone with him, a man in motorcycle leathers and a helmet of insectoid design. The other man's not really in any good shape to hold himself upright, though, and Grif hadn't really had much time to get a good grip before snatching him from the grasp of the Bad Guys[tm]. Grif thus has to suddenly ( Read more... )

Delia's not precisely a medic, but she has taken over a room in here... somewhere. It's a safe place, after all. And she's here when they arrive, checking something with the front desk. She looks perfectly presentable today, her own implants subtle and still for once, the amber eye discreet behind scholarly little glasses. She's quick enough to dart to the injured man's side, helping Grif support him.

"What's happened?" Quick rundown, so she knows where to look?

The Kamen Rider has seen better days. This is mainly a man that's been beaten on a hell of a lot, though the most noticeable things are the chainsaw marks on his breastplate, and the pole shoved through his back, poking out of his chest. It looks like it may have gone through a lung.

...And he's still muttering things. Probably insulting ones.

Once they've got the bulk of him sorted, Grif can handle bearing the man's weight easily enough.

"Got the shit kicked out of him by a bunch of guys like him. Worst thing's where the pole went through, but I'm pretty sure there's a whole lot else besides."

Grif links his armor's computer to the Clinics' system, sending the man's name and a dump of his recording of the fight, for the medical staff's perusal.

That leaves her free to check for things like vitals, which is when she begins finding surprises. "Sir? Can you answer me? Do you know where you are?" She gestures to some orderly to get her a gurney, and for Grif to get the Rider onto it. "Here, on his side, carefully. Don't let the pole move, if you can help it."

The Rider tilts his head at her like she's a moron as he sits on the gurney. He takes a breath, and starts quietly, moving up in volume as he goes. "Yes. I can hear you. Talking hurts a fantastic amount right now, so can I just say that I have no clue where this is and if you don't get this pole out of my chest soon, I'm going to do it myself?" ...Don't mind his temper.

The pole's been bent slightly, but the bend is inside him. He's apparently tried getting it out once already.

Grif gets Ichimonji hauled up onto the gurney. "We're in the Clinics, man. Still in the Nexus. Hopefully safe enough to get you patched up before they send another bastard squad. Now quit being a dick and let the doctor help."

...Right. Yes, well, not necessarily the kindest of words for an injured man, but Grif's pretty sure he wouldn't appreciate a softer touch, anyway.

Delia narrows her eyes at him, but her hands are gentle as she pulls aside the the leather carefully to get a good look at the wounds and the pole. "Pull this out yourself and you're going to bleed to death all over me. Man up and let me take a look at it."

He blinks behind his mask, looks at Grif, and finally just nods and sulks on the gurney. "Fine." That's probably the only way to handle this man.

The wounds are pretty simple to describe. Six or seven people beat on him pretty badly, and someone took a chainsaw to his chest. The chestplate stopped most of the damage, but it still took a chunk of flesh. They managed to not hit bone, though. Thankfully. And then there's the pole. Is that part of the stair railing from the Sanctuary?

"Thank you. Jesus."

With that, he'll primarily concern himself with making sure Ichimonji stays on the gurney and the pole stays as immobile as possible for now. The rest is pretty much up to the doctor, at this point

Del reaches for shears, to cut away the leather jacket, keeping her fingers against the place where pole meets flesh, feeling for escaping air or gushing blood. "You're in good shape so far. Considering."

It's bubbling a little as he breathes in and out, but that's it. This man's body really isn't reacting the way someone should after getting impaled.

"Of course I am. I am invinci... I am immortal, after all." ...No. No, he isn't. When she starts to cut away the jacket, Del should probably take note of the skin that isn't covered in blood that's almost too dark. For one thing, it's too pale, more like dead skin than someone who doesn't get enough sun. For another, black veins show clearly through the surface. Whatever's going on there, it's probably not healthy.

"Yes, yes, blood of ki-- what the hell?"

Puzzled, Grif reactivates his armor's ARGUS sensor suite. Though primarily geared towards chemical and energy analysis, ARGUS does also include medical systems, some of which are just computer-mediated reprocessing of results from the main sensors. For all he knows, they may have even more advanced methods than he does, but just in case, he uses the link he'd already opened to stream the data to the Clinics' systems as he gathers it.

The bubbling is bad, but... "This should be a lot worse." She draws a finger through the blood, sniffs it. "Medical history? I should get x-rays before we pull this thing out."

If she really can tell the difference, his blood is... Not good. It's like the stuff they throw out of blood banks because they misfiled it and it was hanging in a cooler for six months.

He shrugs, then hisses at the motion. "I'm a Remodeled Human. I've never been to a hospital after my reconstruction. You don't need to dig deep, here. Just get this thing out and patch me up." This man doesn't seem to understand that he isn't here to be 'manly'.

"Dude, you've got a hole going straight through you. It'd take a lot of biofoam to fill that, even if you are a super-soldier, cyborg, or whatever. Let the doctor have a look first."

After a moment of checking through the options that ARGUS' expert system could provide him, he looks over at the doctor. "While I can apparently detect X-rays, I don't appear to actually have quote-unquote 'X-Ray Vision,' unfortunately." He would totally have done finger-quotes there, but his hands are still busy keeping the pole stable. Alas.

"Getting you to x-ray's going to be a-" She might be pressing a little too hard against the edge of the wound, fascinated. "Bio-foam. I've been wanting to use that. Bring me a kit?"
