Here comes Action Jackson!!!

hey
This weekend has been so crazy non stop busy!!!
Friday night, hung out with my buddy Emmanuel. I had mentioned that I was getting sick of having upkeep on my hair and expressed the desire to just get rid of it... he offered to shave it for me and now I'm clean shaven on top! It took some getting used to not having hair at first but I think i'm going to keep this look for a while. Besides when i take a shower in the morning, no need to worry about shampoo anymore now that I don't have hair to use it on!
went to an engagement party for a childhood friend last night. It was fun seeing people who I haven't seen in awhile including the future bride's brother who lives in the States now. Congratulations, Seema!!!
after i got home from that, I ended up downtown at a club called Heaven... I've been there about twice now and this was the lamest time. 15$ cover was definitely not justified... the music being spun was kinda lame but still, going there with two very attractive females was definitely fun!!! Then we went to an after hours club down the street til 10 AM in the morning when my companions couldn't take anymore dancing. I had gotten tired from the dancing not too long before but overall, a fun night/early day was had.
tonight, a couple of friends of mine are in this hip hop crew called the Reds... their M.O. is that they are rappers from the USSR if the USSR still existed. There was a free show tonight at McNabb community centre off Bronson avenue where a lot of crews and MCs came and did their thing. My friends were the first act on at around 8 PM or so... they played about three tracks and the show was wicked! A lot of the MCs afterwards were pretty good too. BBQ was available and it was damn cheap too... a buck or two for a hamburger or hot dogs is what I called good treats on limited beats (to your wallet that is).
However, one of the highlights of the evening was heading back to a friend's place with a whole lot of us to watch Action Jackson... a lame ass 80s action movie. Only thing I have to say is that if you happen to rent this 80s 'classic', make sure you get nice and toasted because it's lame otherwise... the villain was Craig T. Nelson before he was known as "Coach" and his wife was played by Sharon Stone before she was a big movie star... however, she did look pretty hot in that 80s big hair sort of way. She even had a gratuitous shower scene in there so that's never a bad thing. The hero of the film, Sgt. Jericho "Action" Jackson, is played by Carl Weathers... who's been a bunch of big movies of the 80s. I guess this was his first starring role. If I were sober watching this film, I would say that he failed miserably because his acting career really never took off after this film... I wonder why. However, in the company of good friends and a reasonable amount of booze, I can't imagine why he didn't become a bigger star! I mean even when I was slightly buzzed, the dialogue sucked but overall, I think if you looking for a film to laugh at, look no further. Good over the top action in some scenes though but DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM SOBER!!! trust me on this.

here's an example before I go of the dialogue that awaits:
(turning a flamethrower on a bad guy and burning the poor bastard)
_Action Jackson_: how do you like your ribs?

Oh man, how can you go wrong with dialogue like that !?
