Must authors be of a certain age (i.e., 14+, 18+)?

I just realized I hadn't replied to this! Authors don't have to be a certain age. However, if you're writing NC17 stuff, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON'T SAY HOW OLD YOU ARE. We're running on a strictly don't ask, don't tell policy for ages; I, for one, know that putting age limits just encourages people to ignore them and lie about their ages like I did as a kid
