Extra Life 2013!!

Oct 02, 2013 12:34

It's that time of year again! Extra Life, a video game marathon that I've participated in for the last three years, is in a month. 100% of proceeds go to Children's Miracle Network and the hospitals they support. The money raised by me and my team will all go to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Here's the deal: On November 2nd, I'll be playing video games for 25 hours (usually it's 24, but this year it's on the day we change the clocks). Again, 100% of donations go to help heal and treat sick kids.

Taking a page out of Rich's book, with his crazy donation challenges, if you donate at least $25, you get to choose a game I'll play for an hour. We'll be live streaming our participation, so you'll get to see my embarrassment or frustration over any game chosen(plus the ridiculous hilarity that comes around 2am after consuming nothing but Mountain Dew, junk food, and video games for over 12 hours).

Also doing mini challenges:
If I raise $100: I'll play Dead Space on nightmare mode for an hour (hardest game I think I have in my library to attempt that with)
$200: I'll play Amnesia: Dark Descent with the lights off and headphones in (supposedly one of the scariest games ever made)
$300: I'll attempt a Super Mario World speed run (which will mostly consist of my yelling at the screen, I'm pretty sure--actually, the Dead Space one will, too)

Thanks for helping me support this awesome charity.
