Just experienced a perfect entry for

I got to the elevator at the same time as a family--mom, dad, and little boy maybe about 3, or 4--I suck at judging kids ages but he was little. There was already a person there going down, so the 'down' button was pressed. The little boy said he wanted to press the button. The dad explained that they were going down, and the button was already pressed, but he could press the button for the floor inside the elevator if he wanted.
I was going up, and hadn't pressed the button yet, so I told the boy that he could push the "up" button for me, if he wanted.
The little boy threw himself on the floor, instantly crying, and screaming that he didn't want to press that button, he wanted to press the other button.
And then the elevator came and his tears stopped as quickly as they started and he jumped in to press the button on the inside for their floor.
Sigh.
