Ok sit down, shut the fuck up, and pay attention. Im going to tell you all a story. This story takes place on a bus driving down a highway.
You are coming home from work one day on the same bus you take every day, back and forth. However, you notice today that the bus is behaving a little oddly, the driver seems to be having a little trouble steering and getting it to stop. You mention this to the other passengers but they dont care, it seems like the bus is doing just fine and hte driver is handling it, its probably just the road.
After a little while the bus driver admits that theres some major problems with the bus. He radios the bus manufacturer and says that it feels like the brakes are shot and need to be replaced. The manufacturer responds by saying that replacing the brakes will cost a lot of money and upset the passengers. Besides, this is a problem for the owners of the bus to figure out, not the builders. As the driver continues his route, its getting obvious that something is very wrong.
Another person radios the bus and the manufacturers and tells them "look, I know everything there is to know about buses and have basically invented the modern bus system. Stop right now and fix those brakes, no matter the cost. There is a bridge out in a mile or so and you will crash if you dont fix the problem now!"
Now of course this angers the bus manufacturers, how dare anyone tell us what to do and the owners of the bus should just sort it out themselves, even though the owners let the bus get to this position in the first place. The passengers are complaining too,
"if the brakes are replaced it will cost me more money to ride! Thats not fair!"
"I changed the oil on my car once, I know just as much about bus brakes as that guy on the radio, so do what I say instead!"
"Let it crash, it will teach hte bus company to take better care of their buses!"
"Oh stop panicing, the bus is big, its robably bigger than the gap in the bridge, we will be fine"
"Im wearing a seatbelt, falling off a bridge wont hurt me"
"Im sitting in the back of the bus, I cant even see the bridge, how do we know its there?"
"Im calling the manufacturers and telling them if they help the bus at all im going to make sure they lose their jobs!"
The manufacturers of the bus are now arguing to about whether they should even send the bus company a new set of brakes, let alone help them install them.
In the end the manufacturers decide to not help the bus come to a safe stop, caving to the pressure of the bus riders who dont think they are in any danger of crashing. In the end, there is a catastrophic wreck, and the few survivors of the crash are left demanding to know why the bus manufacturer did nothing to prevent the crash.
I hope you all understand what my story is about, and understand why we are all in so much trouble right now
