Class Schedule!

  • MWF 09:00 - 09:50 - Race and Identity in Judaism (fulfills Diversity & Race req - apparently the Language and Race class was a lie :( But this will also be super awesome! something I also know little about, but am a bit more invested in, and a bit more familiar.)
  • MWF 10:00 - 10:50 - Shakespeare and Music (fulfills Arts req. focuses on Macbeth, Midsummer's Night's Dream, and Romeo and Juliet. So some operas and ballets and West Side Story? :P I doubt the French musical Romeo et Juliette will be included? I'll ask.)
  • MWF 13:00 - 13:50 - Introduction to German III (WER WILL MIR HELFEN, UM DIESE KLASSE ZU VORBEREITEN???)
  • TR 09:30 - 10:50 - Myth and Symbol (from the booklist, it looks like it'll be primarily Greco-Roman myths. Homer, Sophocles, etc. Which I should have expected, I suppose. XD But excited! :D)

I don't think I can take any regular Shakespeare classes. :( :( Because I already did, both at Haverford and CCP, and they're all listed as the same class (ENGL 2297), so if I took it at Temple, it would be considered "repeating the class" and not count towards my major etc etc etc UGHHHHHHH. Perhaps I'll have a chat with one of the English advisors, see if I could get the transfer classes rebranded as something else (Renaissance lit? Generic upper-level English course?) so that I can take it at Temple as well. ESPECIALLY if they cover plays I've never read (eg not Hamlet, Lear, or Richard III, which, as much as I love them, have been done in every Shakespeare class I've taken so far. XD Honestly I need to be more diligent about reading plays on my own time. Get on my case, people. :/)
