Macabre Monday
Tomorrow should be...um...interesting. We are taking a field trip to a local research lab to view cadavers. Well, actually not whole cadavers, just pieces of them. At first I thought we would be viewing whole bodies with dissections so that we can see muscle groups and such. That had me a little concerned. The only dead bodies I've ever been around were embalmed at funerals, of course, so I was really not sure how I might react to viewing whole cadavers in that state. I actually feel better knowing that we will only be viewing (and touching, if we want) different sections of the bodies. I've never really been squeamish about blood and guts, so I'm not worried about passing out or anything like that. We've been warned about the odd smell, though, so I'm thinking I might bring a mask just for that. It should be interesting to see if this weeds out any of my class mates!
Now I hate I missed out on going to the Body World exhibit when it was here in Phoenix. I hope I'll get another opportunity to view it some time.
