Guy Fawkes Day. An individual attempted to blow up Parliament as an act of rebellion.

And his cause is since then celebrated?

It's actually an act against him -- we're supposed to burn effigies of Mister Fawkes, but with time, it's turned into something of a statement. Individuals burn effigies of different political figures they feel aren't doing their job properly, dictators, the like.

Hitler is popular.

He spawned World War II. We're currently battling it, though I've discovered it's long since ended by the the standards of most people here.

The Allies won, as it were.

England was a part of them, so I suppose so.

[Tom could honestly care less, if he wanted to be perfectly honest. And his own viewpoints, of a higher race, a more powerful species, were remarkably like Hitler's -- that did not go unnoticed to him. But being bombed day and night in London when he stayed there was getting old.]
