[Oh. Well... Here's to hoping this is about Madara and not something he did.

So Snape doesn't bother responding, instead turning his wand on himself and banishing himself towards the Dark Lord's residence, knocking once on the door when he arrives.]

[The door opens without anyone moving towards it -- Tom is in his kitchen, yanking vials out of the cupboards, a flickering lightbulb overhead. Magic interferes with electricity -- and Tom is positively bursting with it.]

[Stepping inside cautiously and shutting the door behind him, Snape slowly approaches the kitchen and goes down on one knee as a loyal servant should. The magic around him... it's almost suffocating, and he knows full well just how dangerous this wizard's magic is.]

You called, my lord?

[There is a hiss of Parseltongue as Tom turns towards Snape, the light dimming abruptly.]

Someone was within my mind.

Are you aware of this?

[Oh, bad memories. Such bad, bad memories associated with Parseltongue and a not particularly pleased Dark Lord. And yet, Snape doesn't flinch, just stays on one knee, eyes trained on the floor, head bowed.]

I managed to return to awareness partway through the night, but was unable to eject the intruder from my mind. The effects, however, felt more similar to the Imperius rather than Legilimency.

He was within my mind.

[Until he kicked him out, with the fury of a thousand hellhounds. The light returns to normal, though, as Tom abruptly gets control of himself, though his hands are buried deep within his pockets.]

What is he even planning?

[Good job, Madara. I mean-- There's a further downturn of Snape's lips, a sign of disapproval of Madara intruding on his lord's mind like that. But he's not one of those mindless puppies who will fly into rage at the smallest insult to the Dark Lord... After all, the wizard is more than capable of taking care of his own private matters. But if he ever wished for Snape to take care of it instead, he would gladly do so.]

It would seem that he has struck up a bargain with one of the Animus and is using its powers to augment his own and control the general population here through the moon. For now, control of the world seems to be his only goal, hence the kidnapping of hostages to keep those who may wish to oppose him in line. [There's the faintest flicker of approval within the annoyance in those dark eyes. He did, after all, pick some strategic people to hold hostage.] Since only one of the Animus has joined him, perhaps he eventually wishes to wrest control of the city from the Animus's grasp and hold it in his own hands?

[The information seems to actually calm him slightly, and Tom falls silent to think.]

... The Animus are nonsensical beings. He's a fool if he believes he can control them.

[There's a quiet nod.]

Indeed, my lord... His actions have more than demonstrated that, though perhaps it could be used to our advantage.

I'm going to break the control on a select few in this city.

[Those of use and worth to him, mostly, and it would help create a better image, especially since he just murdered someone. Oops.]

What else do you know of his abilities?

[There's the slightest change in Snape's posture, as if he's bracing himself for the Cruciatus Curse because his answer may not be to Tom's liking.]

Unfortunately, not as much as one would like, my lord. He comes from a world of ninjas, the head of what seems to be a powerful bloodline, which seems to have powers unique to it. These powers, in addition to what they can do with their... chakra, seem to be tied to their eyes in some way.

[He takes in this information quietly, thinking quickly.]

So without their eyes, they have no power?

[A weakness.]

[Hello reminders of Izuna... Long time no see.]

No, my lord. The Uchiha contact I had here before he was returned to their world did not have his eyes, but he was still quite capable of fighting without them. It's just that some of their abilities will become limited.

How unusual.

[He sounds thoughtful.]

-- this idiot cannot be allowed to continue flailing around like a fool. Though I suppose it proves one thing -- the Animus can be worked with. Or, at least, contacted in person without certain death.

Indeed, my lord, and he has told me that the Animus that agreed to work with him is named Teleos. But perhaps it would be best to test the powers of an Animus while fused with a human since the situation has allowed for such a thing? If my lord will allow it, I have in mind a plan in that can be tested, along with the fighting capabilities of a few connections, along with cementing the image of my being... slightly more pleasant than remembered.

Teleos.

[The name rolls off of his tongue like silk.]

Noted. -- tell me.

[It's an order, but an inquisitive one, not harsh. Lord Voldemort in his youth is not quite so cruel as Lord Voldemort in his prime. Tom is genuinely interested in how this is all going to work.]
