Book Log #7: The Good Fairies of New York

Mar 04, 2007 09:34

TGFoNY by Martin Millar was my seventh book this year. Fun stuff! Look, it's not heavy reading, and doesn't have anything of Import to add, but it was a great deal of fun, even if I could figure out how it was going to end (happily, of course :).

Drunken fairies come to NYC and make a mess of everything but it turns out alright in the end.

Found it randomly and picked it up because it had an intro by Neil Gaiman. So did the Moore book, but I was better pleased by this one.

Fast readers will devour this little novel in a matter of hours. Oh, it'd be good for pre-teen and teen readers as well - well, those with liberal parents as the fairies do roll about with one another a bit - but there's nothing graphic about it.
