Another girl escapes a sicko, this time in South Carolina. The second one this year in SC.
I'm glad she escaped. And glad that she was raised to have the presence of mind and bravery to escape.
I hope there are more stories like this -- of girls escaping from sickos. I think these stories help the girls who later will be caught, help them to escape. That a parent will see the story, and be moved to tell their girl what my mother told me:
"If anyone ever grabs you, or touches you in a way you don't like, you do WHATEVER it takes to get away. You yell, you scream, you bite, you hit, you kick. Just get away from them and run for safety."
When I was 11 I kicked a guy in the shins who tried to grab me as I got off the bus and left him howling in my wake, cursing me and holding his knee.
My only regret today is that it wasn't in the balls.
