This is one of those instances where I feel that it's time for white people to stand up and say this sort of thing out loud, and loudly. When a black person says these sorts of things, it's really easy for people to dismiss us as "historonic" or as "just has a chip on her shoulder" or what have you.
Pass it on.
This is a powerful speech, and let me tell you, it brought tears to my eyes to see a roomful of steel workers on their feet applauding him.
BTW, the keyword for my Obama icon? It isn't "elections" or "Obama". It's "patriot".
