RIP: George Carlin
To me, George Carlin was one of the foremost philosophers of our time, and he will be sorely missed.
One of my favorite bits I've ever seen by him, is called "Saving the Planet". I love it - and it actually helped me square my person beliefs and environmentalism, and made clear the things that had bothered me that I had seen in the environmental movement, with the larger belief that I have about the Earth as system.
I'm sure it will piss people off a bit - but stick with it, and hear what he has to say.
It's the perfect postscript to his life.
