Ever since the first time I heard Obama speak at the DNC, I have been cheering "OBAMA 08!" I'll continue to cheer as we move through the presidential elections, and send money too when a bit frees up.
I just wanted to say this:
If you are a Clinton supporter, I want to first offer my congratulations on a good fight - a long fight, and the determination of your candidate and yourselves. She, and you, have done a stellar job.
But if you are a supporter who says you will not vote for Obama in the general election because you are sore that your candidate lost the primary - then you are a fool. The Dems are going to need every vote to win back the White House from the Republican Party - a party that has managed to drive our country's reputation, and economy, right into the ground. They have trashed our civil liberties, and squandered the lives of our young people in a war they wish to continue so that they may line the pockets of big corporations with our hard earned money.
I am an ardent Obama supporter - but had Clinton won, I would have supported her with all my heart.
If you care about the future of this country, of this economy, for our reputation, for the lives of our children, our soldiers, our elderly, our sick, our poor, our middle class, our educational system, our health and our environment - then vote for Obama in November.
Don't cut your nose off to spite your face.
