So, I made burgers, which I haven't done in a billion years. Grass fed beef, pasture fed chicken egg, matzoh meal (not local, sorry :), garlic, shallot, salt, pepper and herbs d'provence (also not local) on Bread Alone's poppy seed kaiser rolls.
Oh, and big pile of roasted veg with it. We still have six cups left. Mmm. Leftovers.
But better than all that (though my burger ROCKED) is the return of Fruit Pizza. The
last time I made it it was peach season. This one has sour cherries and gooseberries mixed with brown sugar and allowed to sit. The juice that came out was mixed in with the ricotta, and then the berries were spread over the ricotta. The whole thing was dotted with fresh raspberries.
This plus an iced coffee? MMMM.
I just pulled it out of the oven and it looks divine. But I've got to let it cool a bit and pack it up for tomorrow. (and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrororw!!!)
