I've misplaced my Movie Magic Screenwriter CD. I say misplaced but of course I mean lost. There's a window of opportunity during the "misplaced" period for your brain to go *Eureka*and present an image to you of the place you last left the object, and you go, 'oh yeah, thanks'. You go and check out the space and sure enough, there it is. Just as your brain told you.

But once something is lost, once that window of opportunity has shut on your mental fingers, your brain just starts splurting out shitty, stupid ideas of where said object might be, one after the other, over and over, like you've taken a mental Ex-lax and your brain's evacuating everything it's got, even if it doesn't make any sense.

"There's a space where the sewed-on cushion meets the fold-out couch but doesn't completely connect. It's flexible enough to squeeze a cd into. You should check there. Oh, maybe you were staring at it while you were driving and you realized it's a bad idea to divert your attention from the road, so you stuck it up in the sun-screen. No? Maybe the lining in your bookbag is loose and the cd slipped into it. You should check your bookbag...are you sure it's not there? Rip it open, you can't be certain folding will work. Maybe it's in the bathroom underneath the towels, it's in the dirty clothes hamper, it's behind the television, it's under one of your car seats, it's in that box of Lucky Charms, yes it's magically delicious, yes it's included in every box, one illegally burned Movie Magic Screenwriter CD for every boy and girl, yes I really did check the Lucky Charms box!....No? Check the couch again."

My head hurts. I want my cd.
