SHUT THE HELL UP!!
Just a random shout to anyone.
Be you from New York, or having lived here long enough to consider yourself a New Yorker.
Be you visiting New York, either on a long tour, or a brief visit.
If you are at a cultural event... like a concert, or theater, or movie..
SHUT THE HELL UP!!
If you bring your children to said events.
SHUT THEM THE HELL UP!!!
We all slip, and say a quiet word or two to the people we are with. I get that.
But any prolonged conversation, while, say, DEAN AND FRICKING BRITTA sing in Propsect Park, or any movie theater ANYWHERE AT ANYTIME is just too damn much.
And don't think if the music is loud, people can't hear you.
THEY CAN.
You are talking louder than you realize, or other eventgoers have better hearing than you do.
So, folks.. practice shutting the hell up on the verbal communication at events other people have paid to hear, AND YOU ARE NOT AMONG THE PEOPLE THEY PAID TO HEAR.
