specific thrift store need!
I need a plaid pleated skirt (any length) for a costume party, so I'm interested in thrift stores that might have them. I'm thinking that means thrift stores in conservative areas (Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods?) or possibly thrift stores affiliated with schools.
Do you know any of those thrift stores, or know anywhere else that might have them for cheap? I spend all my time in lower Manhattan, below 14th. The financial district or Union Square / WSP area would be great, but I'd be glad to hop on the subway to get to the perfect store.
Edit: It's probably worth noting I'm plus-size (14/16) so I definitely won't be fitting into any middle-school skirts. But does my size mean I should include/exclude anywhere else?
