Carnival Temptations and NSV

For those of you who don't know, my husband and I are running a bed and breakfast in a resort town. Well, this weekend is a huge festival, and they've been setting up stuff all week. Today in the middle of town, they had all sorts of carnival rides set up

I know how you feel about the whole ride thing. Last year my daughter & I went to a local amusement park/water park. She was so stinkin excited. We took our suits (EEK!!) for the water rides. It was so embarassing for me to even put my suit on, but I did it for her. Walking up the steps to all of the slides was torture for me, huffin & puffin, then when we finally got to the top & it was our turn, the poor boy that had to give you the little push couldn't get us going. It was soo humiliating.

I wanted to go on the roller coaster with her, but was too scared that the seat belt or lap bar wouldn't close. She had to go by herself. I don't know if my heart has ever broken so much in one day. That's when I knew I had to get serious. Someday I'm going to get back on the rides I used to love without any hesitation.

It breaks my heart as much as my husband's when we went to an amusement park before and I refused to go on things out of fear that I wouldn't fit. I wish I didn't feel this way, but I can't help it. When I get to my goal weight, maybe we'll go to an amusement park or something, and I'll ride on everything I want! :)
