You might want to skip this rant if you don't want to read about hurt babies. sorry, don't know how to make the cut button work...
even though i'm in classes to get certified to be an emt. you end up on calls where a baby is down; cyanotic, not breathing. bad enough to see a gang of folks doing cpr on a less than two year old, hearing the daddy crying and talking to the mommy on the phone in the background as the amazing medical people do their utmost to save the childs life. bad enough to watch the fine folks in the ED spend more than an hour (we had to leave for another call at that point) doing everything that they know how to do to get this tiny human to start breathing on her own. Just a strange twist of fate that she had a stroke, nobodys fault, wierd shit happens. but see, i just found out that the little girl was shaken by her daddy, and her brain got tossed around inside her skull and who knows if she''ll 1) survive or 2) ever breath on her own again cause her brain is now all fucked up from being slammed against the inside of her head cause the daddy couldn't handle being the daddy in an appropriate manner.......i vote for a baseball bat to his head so he can have that experience himself. this is why i don't want to be an emt.
