"Web site hosting on Dreamhost vs. WordPress." Discuss.
The Situation:
I own a domain name through Dreamhost.
My site hosting is also through Dreamhost, and expires in a month.
I've already got the site redirecting to a WordPress.com blog--I like the WYSIWYG, and my web site design skills are not nearly what they need to be to maintain a good self-built-from-scratch web site.
That said, I haven't tried WordPress.org yet. If that program is more customizable than its .com counterpart, I might do better with it than pure code, and enjoy less restrictions than I would if I mapped my WordPress.com blog to my Dreamhost domain.
The Question:
Should I cancel/not renew my Dreamhost hosting, and map the WordPress.com blog to my domain name? Should I use WordPress.org's program to rebuild my web site and keep both hosting and domain at Dreamhost?
