Open Mic
Went to SLWG's family friendly Open Mic Night with jameson9101322. This was the first time at the new venue, and they have FREE COKE REFILLS and FRIED PICKLES! ♥♥♥ Also, they close later than Wired Coffee (which is a wonderful place, by the by, but who had to cut down their hours open, hence the moving *sad*), so the lot of us can stand around and chat for a good while rather than rushing out the moment open mic ends.
I was prepared to dislike the place for being Not Wired Coffee, but I'm quite pleased with it now, having been there. (Well, except that their WiFi wasn't working. :P)
I read two ficlets, one of which was the 2010 adventchallenge story for animangel, in which Vorpal tea is wielded with grenade-like precision. ^_~
Afterward, jameson9101322 and I stayed to chat with some of the other attendees.
I'm looking forward to next month! ^_^
