state of the tait
It's been a while. I've been meaning to post more so I don't end up with tl;dr posts...but alas, I sucketh mightily in that regard.
Tonight I watched Dragonheart with rosalyn_angel. I'd never seen it before, and it was good to see something uplifting this father's day. It was a good movie--definitely worth the love my friends have for it.
I'm dogsitting this weekend for a friend's family. It's been nice, being alone with the dogs, though I didn't factor in my father's birthday and Fathers Day being this weekend as well. No way I could've won both days, really, but I did my best to do right by all parties. (At least the dogs are happy with me?)
L&W (current story) has been talking to me, not in story, but in backstory. I know a lot more about the father figures now, and motivations are good to know. Helpful, too. ^_^ So while the story's still got the same word count, there are a few thousand words more notes now than there were a few days ago.
In other news, I will soon need to pay for rent and utilities. If I needed a job before (which I really did), I now need one really, insanely badly.
Also, papers: I would have much less low-level, constant anxiety if I would sit down and finish at least one of them.
