Birthdays and a Renn Faire
Happy birthday to skylark97 and rykaine! Two wonderful people, born on the same day of the year--perhaps May 16th is Magical? (Note to self: Check birthday book.)
ANYWAY, Happy birthday, lovelies! I hope your today is absolutely fabulous and full of smutty slash good clean fun. ^_~
In Renne Faire news, a friend asked if I might walk in the parade for the art booth he's working at during the Faire. I got to carry pretty, pretty artwork and smile and wear garb, and then go around and talk to cool people with kickass clothes.
Today, I bought a really gorgeous piece at the booth I'm walking for--the artists they carry are phenomenal! The piece I bought was Lord of Snows by Nene Thomas, and have my eye on Corsair Daemira as well. *covets so much of the art in that shop!*
I dragged jameson9101322 to the Faire with me yesterday. It was muddy and rainy and cold--apparently more so than it'd been in 12 years, according to one of the merchants; and I was wearing a pair of shoes that had heels, which I'm unaccustomed to walking around in for hours since I'm a comfortable sandals type of girl; and sad to say, I got all whiny in the hour or so before jameson9101322 and I left, utterly exhausted by being out and about in the chill. But we each went home to regroup, and then got together and watched AVP, and then went our separate ways again and crashed.
This morning, I was still quite tired and more than a little sore. Since I'd promised I'd be there both days, though, I crawled back into my (cleaned) garb--borrowed from the ever-wonderful liadan_m--and drove back out to Wentzville. With nicer weather out, and better shoes on, I had a blast! Everyone was so wonderful! And I got a back and neck massage from thegeoffrey, who has a stall there. Things were so much fun, I asked how long the Faire was, and who their parade-walker was for the rest of the Faire (3 more weekends), and they said if I wanted to, that could be me. So I happily agreed. There's plenty I haven't done at the Faire yet, and as I said, the people are excellent fun. ^_^
