50bookchallenge 2010: 8/50 + random mumblings

Today was gorgeous! We had the most of the windows open (not because of the industrial stink from the workers installing a new vacuum cleaner system, either, though that was there), the sky was blue with fluffy clouds, the temperature was hot but the breezes were plentiful, and the birds were celebrating. The dog appreciated the screen being open along with the door so he could come in and out of the house and yard without needing to get one of us to open the door. Today was pretty peaceful, all in all.

Strangely, of course, I've fallen into a mood of some kind. I blame my Coke-a-Cola intake--it's been rather extremely, ridiculously high lately. Also, I'm mostly-between writing books, and as the last one was so enjoyable it became a reread, the bar is set high.

8. Letters to a Young Artist by Julia Cameron
I seriously cannot get enough of this book.

I want to do either Finding Water or Walking in This World (both by Julia Cameron) this summer, while I'm off school. Either one might make me a bit more grounded, and I think I especially need that right now. I've been wanting to do those for ages, and also wanted to do those before I go to The Vein of Gold--that one's supposed to be pretty darn intense, and I want to work up to it.

I have some housework to finish up. Vacuuming carpets and moving furniture to shampoo two of them. I have never run a carpet shampooer before, so this should be interesting.
