Can you smell what The Rock is Dooming?

Just finished watching Doom with jameson9101322. rosalyn_angel arrived just in time to see the final boss fight, which was also hilarious. We three cannot watch movies without snarking at them--especially bad movies and/or those based on games, which are wonderful in their badness/not-the-gameness. Doom was just such a bad+game movie. And hilarity was had by all.

Earlier today, I started The Sign of Four by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle--the second novel in my B&N two book "complete Sherlock Holmes" collection. The story opening is hilarious--I can totally see how Guy Richie got his Holmes/Watson interaction, seeing as they were bickering so good-naturedly, and Watson was trying to distract Holmes from his melancholy cocaine use.

Earlier today, I also went to the Apple store with Mom, at which she purchased a Mac. She was long overdue for a new computer--her old laptop was ancient in laptop years, and was overheating and shutting down and running slow and being a jerk and a half 24/7. Since she needs it for work, too, that was all really slowing her down. SO...new computer!

After that, she took me to pick up my car from the shop (oil change time), after which I went to the library--and picked up Doom *snerk* and a few other things--then picked up the pizzas for Jame night and came here. To Jame's house. Where we watched that crazy hilarious movie while we waited for RA to arrive.

Now we are watching an LP of "The Void" by CannibalK9. It's a gorgeous game, and our LPer is fun to listen to. His way of saying goodbye to us watchers at the end of part one? "Well, until next time, try not to fade out of existence!" ^___^
