I'm on a boat! Er, a Mac.
I just video chatted with my brother. Pretty cool. Never been able to do that on a computer of mine before. ^_^
Also, learning how the Mac works. I've only used PCs before, so the transition might be a little rocky. Oh well. I like this little thing, and it'll be easier to travel with and write on planes with. That makes me happy. I really wanted something lighter than what I was used to (a 17") that was portable, could do all the stuff I wanted and more (GarageBand! I am so excited!), and that would be easy to travel with and carry (I am a packrat--anything light is appreciated). I take my computer most places, both for writing and for homework. My old computer was a whole extra bag of heavy. Loved it, but still--heavy.
The new one arrived today. Mom signed for it. The other stuff (sleeve, airline adapter) arrived two days ago. I am mucho happy. So yeah. Now I'm doing all the set-up stuff.
Next on the list:
- call Dad and say You Rock Hardcore (and Thank You ^_^)
- transfer files from old comp to new (in-progress)
- call auto place and check on car (I drove over a nail yesterday and punctured my tire. Some nice person pointed out the nail in a note on my car. I likely wouldn't have noticed myself until it was too late.)
- new phone battery (cheaper than replacement and less time stuck with phone company of hate?)
So yes. I am excited and happy. ♥
