[Amuro sits to the side of the hanger bay catwalk, near one of the computer simulators. There's a certain odd hollowness in his expression. 20 feet below him on the ground is the blood-soaked wreckage of the Gundam. There are enough parts left of it to be salvaged, theoretically, but for the time being it's a hulk of scrap

*hanging out in the hangar for extended periods of time is just one of those things X does. And although at first he just chalked Amuro's state up to usual post-battle jitters, but he eventually caught on*

... I'm not quite sure which is the more monsterous, after reading the reports of that last incident.

But for the time being, perhaps it would be best to take advantage of NERV's association with the GDF. If only to make sure similar incidents do not happen anymore.

...I guess all we can do is watch them... And try to act before anything like this happens again.

There has to be a way to fight them on even footing without relying on the eva series...

Perhaps there is. I seem to recall a certain aquatic Angel being killed with conventional firepower. There might be something of note in the old records about it.

I was able to damage the last one with an attack... but I couldn't destroy it... What we need is more firepower.

Then perhaps it would be best for you to get that new mobile suit of yours complete as soon as possible. It might give you the edge the next time something like this happens.
