So I'm all registered for classes and I have so many boxes already packed for the big move.
I'm taking "the Renaissance Marvellous" which is all about fantasy, magic and the marvellous in 16th and 17th century lit. I started reading Dr. Faustus for it already and it is enjoyable. I'm glad I took Shakespeare and 17th century women's lit last year, and hopefully they will help me out. I'm also taking "Asian-Canadian Literature." The reading list is about 25 books long, it is craziness. There are some fantastic books. We only have two classes per semester. Excellent!

I found out what class I'm TA-ing: Introduction to Fiction. I teach two hour-long tutorials per week. We're doing The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Bel Canto, the Life of Pi, Anil's Ghost and Maus I and II by Art Spiegelman.

I've been talking to a girl from the Sault who is also starting her MA in English at SFU. It feels good to already have a friend there. :)

Things have been hectic. I'm still working at HMV, but I've been working at the Census for three months now too. I'm still averaging about 45 or 50 hours per week. I have had no summer. Saturday I'm going tubing though, that will be fantastic. It's supposed to be 30 again, and sunny as hell. Last year at my parents' annual tubing party, my dad got so drunk that he changed the words to "Take Me Home Country Roads" by John Denver to "take me home pole line road" and instead of saying "west virginia" he said "kakabeka."

On a side note, I have become addicted to shopping for home decor. I can see my apartment in my head, and I know exactly what I'm looking for. When I see it, I have to buy it. It's getting outrageous, my spending habit.
