(no subject)
Wow, it is beautiful out today. I went for a 50 minute jog, and I sunburned my face! The thermometer outside says 16 degrees in the shade, that really makes me happy. I wore a tank top and shorts and I was comfortable. Also, I bought a sports pack for my discman so now I don't have to hold it, and it was a million times better. Maybe someday I'll get one of those newfangled mp3 players... but I don't have any mp3s.
Simon Fraser University called Chris today and said they had scrounged up another $5000 for him too! That also makes me extremely happy.
I have a paper due Friday, an exam Saturday, and another paper due Monday. And I start my new job Monday morning! I'm kind of nervous, I haven't had a new job in 5 years. hehe.
Picked up the new flaming lips cd yesterday while I was working. We're selling it for $2 less than the supply cost this week! Good deal.
When I get my income tax cheque back I'm buying myself a $200 gift certificate to HMV so I can pick up the things I need before I lose my discount. I will never want to buy anything full price again! Arg. I really hope the HMV megastore in Vancouver will let me work one shift every two weeks to hold on to it. Plus, I'm hoping to get a prize when I hit the official 5-year-straight mark in September. At the 3 year mark I got a $15 gift certificate, because apparently we are worth five dollars per year.
My parents went out of town for the weekend, they went to Minneapolis just because they felt like taking a trip together. Maybe they will buy Krystin and I nice things. :D It'll be nice to have a quiet house for a few days, and some independence. I'm excited to cook myself dinner for the next few days. All I know is that jambalaya is on the menu for Saturday.
