Born in the affluent home of pure-blood Laurence Pucey, but to the half-blooded Clara, Adrian was taught from an early age to play his cards wisely and to choose his friends carefully.

His father was not active on the Death Eater front in the first war, and holding a rather politically useless occupation of idly writing Wizarding fiction, was minimally harassed to join the ranks of the Dark Lord. In these years, he published very little, and became suddenly rather prolific in the years after the Dark Lord’s downfall. Adrian’s uncle, on the other hand, formerly made his name as a barrister of Wizarding Law, frequently appearing before the Wizengamot to present cases of defense for suspected Death Eaters and frequently received threats, especially if cases did not go as planned. Adrian and his parents do not know that he was also a Death Eater, but there has always been a suspicion about his activity in the war. As such, they would not be particularly surprised, though quite disappointed to discover so.

It is by this uncle that Adrian has two cousins, Graham, who is proud of his pure-blooded heritage and something of a blood-elitist (4th year Slytherin). And Eleanor, or better known as Ella (7th year Slytherin).

Adrian’s first love is Quidditch (sorry, girls). He joined his house team in his second year of Hogwarts, and supports the Montrose Magpies, though he denies that this is because they are such a successful team. His ambition is to play Chaser for them when he leaves Hogwarts, though his mother disapproves and would rather he do something less dangerous with his time. He considers the way some of his teammates play a disgrace to the game, and does not condone hexing opponents off the pitch.

With an easy manner of speaking, well-bred manners and a dislike for revealing information about himself, he tends to defer the need to talk about himself by seeming most attentive and interested in the person with whom he is conversing with. At times, he is likely to carry this off with flirting and at others, the other party may leave having felt mildly interrogated by the sheer number of questions he is likely to ask them. This has led him to harbour the less known and more whimsical desire to attain a Journalist Apprenticeship with The Daily Prophet.

Adrian deals well with pressure, from his peers and from authority; and won’t bow to it if it conflicts with his own values - mostly consequentially driven.
