I will now rise from the ashes
don't call me pretentious...
I note with relief that since someone has a nice wireless signal nearby, I should have no trouble connecting to the internet this week from the far West hinterlands of the city. Regardless, though, I won't be on much. I have far too much to do, far too many ideas to churn into words and sculptures and pictures. Today was a rush from beginning to end.
Things to note. I received a callback asking for an interview from the only job I really wanted this summer, working for the MVC doing programs for kids and helping tourists. I had come around to visit a little while back, only to find that one of my favourite Interpreters still worked there, and his name was one of the names that I could ask for at the Centre, so that's a good sign. So far, all my jobs have been jobs to love, and this is no exception. Crossing my fingers now.
Apparently the phone I sent back has not yet arrived or been counted, so I need to wait a little longer for a new phone. Let's hope it doesn't run later than my leaving date...
Planning a movie and popcorn party tomorrow night because I have a nice stereo set on the TV here, and because there's a sticky note on the table demanding that I do in all caps with an exclamation point.
Ten day countdown begins tomorrow. Yikes.
