Bus Issues
I am beyond frustrated with the new and so-called-improved transit system.
My Mom is screwed because she can only get to work on the hour and half hour and needs to be there at quarter to.
I'm screwed because I can only get to work at quarter to or quarter after and I need to be there on the hour or half hour. And whatever I do on my route to work, I end up waiting at some terminal for ten minutes. Because the new and improved system has the DART busses running on 20 minute schedules while all the important ones that take you to specific places run on 30 minute ones. Absolute genius it is not.
Getting to the University will mean pileups even worse than before on the two busses that go there from the Lawson Terminal, and 10 minute waits in the cold. (Are they trying to give Starbucks business?)
And from the University to Work? That's a 25 minute walk, and a 35 minute bus ride at the very least. Because it would be silly to just send a Bus down Cumberland to 8th - forget the fact that half the traffic on that side of the city goes there.
I am so very, very pissed off right now, I don't even want to go to work in the morning because I'll have to deal with this bullshit.
