this week's news is last week's excitement. and though things have changed, they never really do change at all. everything is the same as it was but sometimes things go bad and sometimes things go well, but in the end these are the things you will most remember and not the big picture. the main idea will be forgotten and the only recollections left are the ones about the minor, trivial things.
the way he rubbed your thumb when you were holding hands
the way your friend ran to hug you when you were apart for too long
the way the boys you are with treat you like one of them, but
the way their eyes widened when you got dressed up
the way you said "i love you" and meant it
and the way he tore you apart with things he did, things he said
i'm so hurt right now and i can't justify it.
i'm a lucky person, but i am torn up.
maybe, in the end, you'll forget it
but chances are
you wont.
