Situations/genres/kinks you want to receive: I like AUs and I like this universe, so if you've got an idea that falls in either one, go for it! I like fics with a strong plot, but I also like fics that are purely slice of life/porn/etc. Definitely don't feel pressured to write plot if you're more inclined towards porn, or vice versa. More than anything, I love fics that show how much fun a writer had putting it together. :)
I love reading about established relationships - I love the ways relationships develop over time and the obstacles that a strong bond can overcome. For the record, though, I hate cheating as a plot device, so if you choose to go the route of established relationship, I'd appreciate it if cheating were left by the wayside.
• For the writer comfortable with including Ryo and Yamapi:
I'd actually really like to see fic that explores the events that led to them leaving. Whether it was 1) Yamapi being nudged or just wanting to go solo that started things and Ryo just took the opportunity at hand to leave then instead of waiting a few months or years and then repeating Yamapi's move, 2) Ryo's schedule finally taking its toll on him and Yamapi just took that as his opportunity to leave, 3) Wagahai was allergic to RyoPi, or 4) something else, I'd love to see it portrayed in a way that's not malicious toward anyone.
(Also: angry!sex between Yamapi and Shige. I don't know why I want it, but I do. This pairing is quickly becoming one of my favorites; I love the idea of Future Yamapi and Future Shige developing some kind of evolved dynamic. *___*)
But! There's absolutely no pressure to focus on the split. If you're interested in writing 6nin, I'm open to a dazzling number of things! I love how different Ryo was with NEWS compared to how he acts with K8; Shige and Ryo's bizarre, tentative, and somehow occasionally respectful friendship; Tegoshi's various dynamics with each member; Yamapi failing incredibly hard at being the leader, but sometimes making some gesture that surprised everyone.
My favorite NEWS pairing is Ryo/Shige. Tegoshi/Shige, Yamapi/Shige, and RyoPi tie for second. :D
• For the writer who'd rather not include Ryo and Yamapi:
GIVE TO ME FIC CELEBRATING THE VIRTUES AND FAILURES OF KATO SHIGEAKI. Long-suffering, has-a-law-degree, can't-believe-this-shit, total-failface Shige. ♥ Ship him, write gen, I don't mind what you do, I'd just love fic about him. For example, Shige's dynamic with Tegoshi fascinates me, and I'd love to see some unexpected twists in their friendship/relationship; the marriage of Koyashige; Koyama's unbridled, unconditional love of NEWS; Massu's stomach and the muscles in it; Koyama, Tegoshi, and Massu's uninvited romps in Shige's apartment; etc.
• I'm an enthusiastic fan of K8 and T&T, so if you're moved to include any member from those groups, I'll actually dance with joyous, giddy glee. So, you know, if you want to add a scene with Yamapi and Takki or Ryo with K8 or Shige and Yoko/Hina, I'll be delighted to read it. :D I also love every group that debuted before NEWS, so if a cameo from one of those groups strikes you, know that it'll be an aspect I'll enjoy. :D
Situations/genres/kinks you DO NOT WANT to receive: Negativity directed at Yamapi or Ryo, plot-convenient misunderstandings/assumptions (a character overhears a conversation, makes an assumption, and storms off without hearing the rest of what's said), first person narrative, cheating, unrequited love, and unhappy endings.
