Oh Shiggggeeee. I love that he's trying so hard to feel more confident. I think that he's been doing very well in that part though and ohhh, he just makes me wanna squeeze and tell him that he's AMAZING. ^_^ Also, I wonder who said that to him. Whoever it was, rocks. ^_^
YESS!! Omg. Shige needs to understand that there are SO MANY people who like him for who he is. He needs more confidence...POO. I'm gonna write that in my birthday letter to him!! :D
I hope so too. Sometimes the things he says or writes make me a bit worried about him. It's as if he thinks he has no special place in NEWS - YamaPi is The Actor, Ryô is The Sex God, Tegoshi is The Singer, Massu is The Dancer, Koyama is The MC. And what is Shige? I get the impression he worries about that.

No but really... I think that has been bothering him too, but I think with the hiatus he grew - well that I know for sure. Haha, he grew a lot and it's done him so much good to just be "Kato Shigeaki" and independent like he has been during these 8 months. I can see that going back to NEWS again could be weird, but it's just a matter of time before he's found his perfect role too. ♥ Tegoshi grew up really fast, not really surprising considering how much attention he got for his voice, but Shige really... need more time, I think he's just now coming around to find who he really is - and myself I think it's quite interesting, sort of amazing, to be able to tell that the Shige we saw a last year and the Shige we see today is so much... more, you know? I don't know if I make sense. XD ♥
You do make sense and I agree with you! The year of solo activities has been good for all of them. I really hope Shige manages to find his place in NEWS. Being the smart one is probably something that he doesn't take much pride in when it comes to his job - he's an idol, it's not in his job description to be smart. What IS in his job description are all the things that he finds himself lacking, like singing, dancing, acting, MC. But he has the looks and the personality to be a really great idol! And I hope he sees that it's not always about the singing, dancing and acting, that people like him just the way he is. ♥
