Ryo Wins Best Supporting Actor at the 57th Television Drama Academy Awards

The Television finally released the results!
Last Friends won for the following categories:
* Best Drama: Last Friends
* Best Supporting Actor: Nishikido Ryo / Last Friends
* Best Supporting Actress: Ueno Juri / Last Friends
* Best Scriptwriter: Asano Taeko / Last Friends
* Best Director: Kato Hiromasa, Nishisaka Mizuki, Endo Mitsutaka / Last Friends
* Best Theme song: Prisoner of Love / Last Friends
Basically, the only awards it didn't win were:
* Best Actor: Kimura Takuya / CHANGE
* Best Actress: Nakama Yukie / Gokusen 3
Congratulations to Ryo! He's the first NEWS or KANJANI8 member to take home one of these awards, and despite what I initially thought, and despite what certain others say, I really think he deserves it. Last Friends had a lot of potential, and though it certainly went down hill half-way through, it was still well put-together, and Ryo, Eita and Juri did a good job with what they had to work with. I'm certain some people will say Eita deserved the award for BSA more than Ryo did, but I think if anything can be used against that statement, it's ryo's performance in episode 10. It took some serious acting chops to be able to evoke in viewers even a smidgen of compassion for Sousuke after all he put Michiru through, and Ryo pulled it off with aplomb. Wow, I should really stop proving what an eternal pessimist I am. I shall end here.
