LiveJournal .... the song!

Nick Yonce, nickrock, wrote to me awhile back asking if we'd sue him or something if his band Mirrors On Shoes did a song about LiveJournal. I laughed and said of course not, but I'd love to hear it if they did do it....

Well, it's done: [Download MP3]I'm not sure if it's the coolest thing or sickest thing ever. Maybe both. :-) Anyway, enjoy ( Read more... )

Evan, thanks for asking, and Brad, thanks for updating with the lyrics. I wouldn't have been able to listen to the MP3, since I'm completely deaf, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading the lyrics.

Very, very strange little song. The writers have a wonderfully quirky sense of humor.

Isn't there any way for deaf people to enjoy music? =(
I mean, they have braille for blind people...

O_O Dayum... I'd forgotten all about this post.

But to answer your question - it can be done. A great example's in the movie Mr. Holland's Opus, when a concert is put on at a deaf school, and the music and rhythm were conveyed with lights. That was, quite understandably, one of my favorite scenes. I love the movie, but that scene, it included me too. I could "hear" the music for certain then.

But it's rarely done. -_-
