All functionality which was present in the old interface has been preserved, and the appearance has been brought in line with our new video hosting feature ( Read more... )

Yes, the image URL will stay the same and it will still show up in entries or comments it has been posted to.

That's awesome, thank you!

That is great. Now if only places like PhotoBucket could do that!

The last time you "improved" photo-hosting, I lose the majority of my photos. Most of the albums in my collections are empty.

Same here, I was volunteered for the beta and had some 1500 photos vaporized. I don't see any changes to my current layout.

I feel your pain. The worst part is that most of those photos can't be replaced. I know I should have downloaded them back to my computer before the "upgrade," but like a fool, I actually took LJ at their word that I wouldn't lose anything. After the LJ fiasco, I began using Photobucket exclusively.

Same as.

I hope they don't foul up this time.

I like how visual it is (a good thing for a picture gallery, obviously) and I love the sideways browsing (the greyed out background could have been a little darker, but that's just details), but I miss the old feature where you could change the order of pictures in a gallery. That would have been great to see reintroduced. (Or have I just not found it yet?)

Agreed. I'd also very much like to be able to change the order of pictures and the order of galleries.

You aren't missing it -- that functionality hasn't been reintroduced yet. (Which I, too, would love to get back, as it's very useful.)

Any update on when tag support will be added back? I didn't use it before, but with the loss of sub-folders it would be nice to have now.

So once again, a feature that is only available to people choosing to use the horrible new layout system? Yeah, no thanks. I will deal with the old way. Not changing over. Stop trying to force it on us.

Here here! I HATE the new design! The text is too light & it's SO hard to read & the profile layout is hideous (I hate how the different areas are in different tabs)! I want to stay with the old layout, thank you! As the saying goes: if it isn't broken, don't fix it! Is LJ trying to lose users? Because I'm guessing they'll succeed with this esthetically hideous design. Please, just keep it the way it is or at least give us a choice instead of forcing this on people who don't want it.

I was just about to comment that my scrapbook doesn't look like that image above. Nope, not switching to the ugly new layout, no way.
