New Apps

Earlier this week, we announced that a redesigned version of the LiveJournal app for Android has been released, the redesigned iOS app has undergone a major update, and that the older version of the app will be re-released soon as LiveJournal Classic. Check the full release notes out over here!

It was our opinion that community moderators should not be forced to reveal their identities or be subjected to harassment for content posted by other members of that community.

But seriously, after the random privacy stuff going around recently on other networks, this is a good precedent for you guys to set. Thank you!

How not? I don't understand what you're asking. Facebook is going after accounts that don't use the user's real, legal name. Users shouldn't have to provide their legal names, especially if they're using aliases for reasons.

The fact that LiveJournal is looking after its users' privacy is a very good thing, in my opinion. It is good to know that privacy is still important to the staff here.
