(Foxfirefey, I hope you don't mind that I'm squatting in your 'first-page' real-estate in order post on page one...)

It's nice to see real news in news and the gif is a hoot, but there is still a lot of news missing. Thus, here again is my invitation to 'crowdsource' news. I'll start:

Si styles functionality update

According to this post in LJ Releases, S1 layout is functional once again. S1 layout had failed following a change in LJ code on August 5th. The catch is that you have to go back to this page and reselect all your custom colours.

There also appears to be actual news on lj_releases, it just doesn't get repeated on news.

Thank you for that! I had read that things were supposed to work again and was wondering why my friends page was still colour-less.

(And since I haven't changed my colours for years, I couldn't remember my colour scheme... but fortunately, it was probably one of the standard ones - at any rate, I've found one that looks familiar.)

You're welcome. I thought to check because back a few weeks ago some people were discussing the fact that the page I linked to had blanks were colours were supposed to be listed and that they wouldn't save. So I looked and sure enough: blank. But now they save. Fortunately, I still have the list of hex codes I'd chosen years ago for the various fields. 8^)

Thank you for posting this. I have always hated s2. I've been wondering what the hell was wrong with my page, but too busy to try to track down what was wrong. I am REALLY unthrilled about having to do it all again, but whatever. At least it works again.

That's odd, because my S1 colours came back by themselves. Am I unique?

(Now I think about it, I said this last time too so apologies for repeating myself. :-) But this person got their colours back too.)

Ah, thanks! That was the conversation I was referring to when I stated that for some users the colours weren't saving. In the thread you helped entropy_house recover the hex codes, but LJ refused to save entropy_house's inputted hex codes and insisted on reverting to a default colour scheme.

I wonder why your custom colours came back on their own?
