No, we mean that you're one of the poor sods who does the coding, and thus would know...aw, screw it. I've seen the code, there's no way you could have cheated.

If you want our patience, don't abuse it. We shouldn't have to wait a week between updates.

We didn't want to update just to say "hey, still thinking about this!" We wanted to wait until we had substantive progress to report, which is what we were doing this week -- talking to people, talking to each other, and making sure that everyone fully understood the problems and what led to the miscommunications before we could begin to address them.

And causing even more bad feeling in the process. There are still some serious questions left unanswered here, such as the apparent redefinition of the word "interests" to mean "likes". A "we aren't ignoring you, and there will be more news soon" on Tuesday or Wednesday would have bought quite a bit of much-needed good will.

I think LJ are in a lose-lose situation. Post quickly without meaningful updates and get lynched; delay until there's something meaningful to say and be lynched. Either way people also complain that not everything they want has been addressed in the post and scream about that.

They will post when they have stuff to post. Can you blame them for wanting to produced a measured responce when this whole situtation was caused by LJ staffers going off half-cocked?
